Dealing with new energy sources presents all involved actors and processes with new challenges. It is significant to think about aspects of security right from the start. In this context, security is defined as the control of threats to people and the environment. All HYPOS projects also deal with safety-related issues in their research work. In the HYPOS topic of safety, integrative safety considerations are also carried out and technologies for reliable and redundant monitoring of operating and process variables are developed.
