Hydrogen is already an important part of industrial processes and technologies. It is used as a raw material and a means of production. In the chemical and petrochemical industry in particular, hydrogen is used for numerous processes and refinement steps. Hydrogen is at the beginning of a long value chain. In the HYPOS Utilization and Distribution, production processes for subordinate hydrogen utilization are researched. These include methanol, synthetic kerosene and higher quality hydrocarbons such as synthetic waxes. Hydrogen is always to be seen in combination with carbon. Very different and new locations for combined hydrogen production and recycling can arise. In addition hydrogen is part of the topic as an energy source for heat and energy supply.
